Frequently Asked Questions about the Keewaydin East NECO Pass Program

Why should I ride the bus?

Riding the bus with your NECO Pass can save you money on parking, gasoline, and car repairs.  Plus, you can sit back while someone else does the driving.

Isn't driving more convenient than trying to figure out how to take a bus?

Riding the bus is often more convenient than driving, especially when you travel to areas in which parking is expensive and often hard to find.  Driving to downtown Denver is often slow due traffic jams.  The bus has its own congestion-free lane, assuring you quicker service.  Your NECO Pass eliminates the issue of having exact change to travel the RTD system.

I don't ride the bus very often. Why should I buy a NECO Pass?

By participating in the program, you help qualify our neighborhood and encourage your neighbors to use the bus.  By riding the bus, we reduce traffic congestion, which benefits drivers as well as bus riders.

What does NECO Pass offer to a regular bike commuter?

All RTD buses are equipped with bike racks.  In addition, bike parking and lockers are available at more than 50 RTD park-n-rides.  Bike commuters can get around more efficiently using both their bikes and NECO passes.

I only ride skyRide to DIA once in a while.  Why should I buy a NECO Pass?

The NECO Pass will save you money even if you travel to DIA a few times a year.

Where can I go using the NECO Pass?

The NECO Pass is a Regional RTD Pass that can be used at any time on any regularly scheduled RTD route in the whole RTD District.  This includes all local busses in Boulder, Denver, Longmont, all busses between these cities, all light rail routes, the skyRide to DIA, and the Nederland route.

How long is my NECO Pass valid?

The NECO Pass is valid for the calendar year for which it is issued.

I have an ECO Pass from my work place.  Am I eligible for a NECO Pass?
